Indian honey bees
This batch of honey, obtained by the Indian honey bees, is from an ongoing harvest that began in the second week of March 2019. We foresee this harvest to last until the end of April. The honey harvested comes from hive boxes situated on the Kerala side within the Brahmagiri Rain forest. This season's honey was intermittent, but we've managed to get some honey, it'll be filled with honey from the blooming flowers of Indian rosewood (etty), Irul, Jackfruit, Ironwood, Mayil elu, and several other wild flora. This honey is abundant in a number of sources and has a diverse range of climate-infused tastes, it's topography, the season and the plants it derives. Much of the honey available on the market these days is obtained by honey bee breeds that need vegetation of monoculture to survive, and is therefore flat in flavour. .Honey is a solution of super-saturated sugar of around 17 per cent vapor. It contains small quantities of calcium, vitamins and nutrients, in addition to carbohydrates. It is also known for its healing qualities as well as for its high calorific content. Honey is made from that bees of the genus Apis. The four forms of honey bees are all seen in the Kerala forests. Honey collecting or gathering involving the stealing of It from wild bee colonies is one of the most ancient human practices and is now performed in parts of Europe , Asia, Australia and South America by native communities. Honey harvesting is an significant tribal livelihood in the Kerala forests. In the last four years, under the auspices of the Vana Samrakshana Samithies (VSS) and the Eco-development Committees (EDC), the honey collectors have been trained in science and non-destructive honey processing and value addition through a method called ultra filtration. It is sold in enticing bottles by Forest Development Agencies (FDA).We obtain this directly from the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve honey hunters. It is obtained from the Apis Dorsata or Indian Rock Bee honeycombs. It receives its name because of its habit of hiding beneath overhanging rocks. It is also known as the Giant Bee and is distributed in South East Asia and the Indian subcontinent as a tropical insect. This natural bee population still survives in the forests and is harvested by native groups living in wooded areas. This harvesting season occurs between April and July. The indigenous group in the Nilgiri region finds honey hunting a ritual. The Kurumbas, who are a large honey-gathering group, conduct a puja when looking out for hives and marking hives so that others don't collect from the same hives. The shooter is going on a quick 12 days before hunting day. A squad that has a lead hunter does hunting for the honey. He ascends the ladder out of the cliffs to collect the sugar. By fact the rope ladder consists of woodland vines. This is suspended from the top of a mountain or a tree below. A tradition practiced by the tribe is to get the hunter's wife's brother in charge of keeping the ladder in place. Five bee stings are enough to knock down the hunter, but the farmer braves these challenges to capture the honey. Other honey collecting methods are introduced based on the amount of local material available, the nesting height and the skill needed.
Sweet Honey: It has many health benefits and hence has found its place in herbal medicine such as Ayurveda and Siddha remedies as a base ingredient. It is recognized that it helps with digestion, develops immunity and has antibacterial properties. Bitter Honey: Bitter honey comes from Jamun tree or Naval fruit. The honey is small and light reddish in color. The honey's water level ranges from 21 to 26 per cent. It has a characteristic salty / pungent flavor. The Jamun tree is considered from this nectar source to possess medicinal properties, and hence the honey. It is used by the local indigenous culture to treat stomach aches and illnesses, and toothache. This honey is also used for Ayurvedic preparations.
Spiced Honey: We have four kinds of spiced honey blended with chili, ginger , cinnamon and saffron at Adimali. Pepper honey is used to remove infections in the lungs, while ginger honey clears inflammation in the stomach. Cinnamon honey helps to shed weight, and saffron honey purifies the blood. Honey with Dry Fruits: We have many types of dry fruit honey which not only improves the It's flavor but also contributes to the medicinal properties.

Honey is made from honeybees of the genus Apis.
Giant honeybee, Apis dorsata is very widespread in the forests of southern and coast-eastern Asia. The pebble is around 1 meter across. Nests are mostly constructed off the ground, on tree limbs and under cliff overhands in exposed areas big. Apis dorsata is an aggressive bee and has never been domesticated because it does not use sealed nesting cavities. For an estimated yield of 50-80 kg per hive, these bees are strong honey gatherers. Honey is a solution of super-saturated sugar of around 17 per cent vapor. Honey contains small quantities of protein , vitamins and minerals, in addition to carbohydrates. Honey is widely known for its healing qualities as well as for its high calorific content.
Apis cerana indica, are small bees found in the southern and south-eastern Aisa forests. Their yield of honey is less, since they create smaller colonies. We create multiple parallel combs with an average yield of 6-8 per colony.
Apis florae, dwarf honey bee is another Southern and Southeast Asian wild honey bee. Such bees build on branches of shrubs and small trees to form single exposed combs. They are low yielding honey and yield between 200-900 g per colony.
Trigona iridipennis are stingless honey bees found in tropical forests that build nests in hollow tree trunks and cavities in the ground. They produce from 300-400 g of it.The four forms of honeybees are all seen in the Kerala forests. Theni travels plan for our clients to get the fresh honey in the clear air and get the first rock honey flavor. Kerala honey hunters claim honey hunting shouldn't take place on a Wednesday, but on Tuesday because it is an auspicious day to do so. Morning and evening were considered to be the perfect time to go looking for honey. Honey hunting on the 8th, 11th, 23rd, 26th, and 30th day of the Moon cycle is also forbidden. Hunting people normally risked their life by harvesting honey…
